Branding & Packaging

The fictitious company, ANEW, recycles old clay materials to create new ceramic mugs. They also collect broken ceramics and grind them down into a usable powder for their mug-making labor of love.

Like a phoenix, rising from the ashes of old ceramics, ANEW mugs are born, hence its inspiration as the logo. A simple vector didn't match the earthy, worn, and handmade elements that the company stood for, so I whipped out my india ink and painted the logo. Wherever possible, recycled materials are used in the packaging and branding materials to reflect the recycled nature of the mugs. Human touches are also incorporated into the packaging to harken the handcrafted nature of these mugs. No assembly line here. From custom stamps on the packaging to stapled business cards, this is meant to be a tactile and personal experience.
